Week 1 - About Web 2.0 and starting a blog

Why would someone want to write a blog? There could be many reasons. It is essentially a form of communication and lends itself to sharing opinions and news, exploring ideas and generating discussion on related topics of interest. You can post notes, lectures, links, images and video clips.

Blogging
 

Blogging Discovery Exercise

To begin creating your blog:

1.   Visit the Wordpress site.

2.   Follow the steps to create a blog.

3.   After you have activated the blog (by replying to an email), you can login and get started. Use the 'My dasboard' area of the blog. You can add a background template of your choice to the blog and also any widgets you like.

4.   Add your blog to your favourites.

5.   Write down your blog address. It will be http://(yourlogin).wordpress.com
