Response Purpose
A
response is a piece of writing that responds to an artistic work
such as an athletic performance, a book,
film, play, dance or musical item. Structure
The
three parts of a response are: ·
An opening statement that
identifies the work and may include a preview of the writers response ·
A series of paragraphs which
describe different elements or features of the work. It uses to express
value judgement, cause and effect, and a high degree of modality
