Using the library catalogue

Click on the Catalogue link on SACSnet - Catalogue

Catalogue screen appears as below:

  •  The catalogue searches by using keywords
  • If you type in a word in the white box next to Keyword:, then left mouse click once on the Search button – the catalogue will look for the word in the following fields: Title, Notes, Author, Series, Publisher, Illustrator, Subjects, Editor and Call No.
  • Some searches will bring up too many records – if this happens you need to narrow your search. You do this by searching in other fields such as Title, Author, Series and Subjects.
  • Clear the screen by clicking on the Clear button.
  • There may be several pages of results; check the pages. Next to the resource will be its location, eg HSC collection, Junior Fiction, Non Fiction, and the call number (address of the book according to Dewey). Take note of these.
